Polo In Argentina, Switzerland, San Francisco...

I will be in San Francisco, CA, in a few weeks for all of March. Does anyone know where I could go for a ride or see a game of polo while I'm there?

I'll then be traveling through Central and South America from April-July finishing up in Argentina. I'd absolutely love the chance to ride and maybe do a relaxed polo clinic/lessons of some kind (although I imagine I'll be a little broke by the time I get that far South!).

After that I'm on to Switzerland, Spain, Croatia, Turkey and Italy then home via Thailand. Again, would love to ride in any of these places and get a little fix.

My brothers play polo here in Australia and I'd like to get into it a little more when I return home. Any suggestions as to where would be good places to have a fun time as well as pick up some polo skills? Or maybe even just go to a few games in any of these places.....

Lisa: the polo season in Argentina are from sept to december and middle february to ends of may.
On June and July our horses have to rest in the field, and august is time to prepare them.

I could help you with Argentina, and also you could take some polo lessons with me in Chile, as I am a Polo Instructor.
You could maybe drop by for a weekend in April to Santiago, where I live.

As for San Francisco, I would say the Sana Rosa Polo club, (Wine County Polo)
March might be a bit early, but there will be some arena polo for sure!
Right now I am in Argentina but I will be back in San Francisco March 11. If you want to get in contact I can help you find a game.

For SF, you could try the arena in Woodside. Stanford also has some grass games I think, other that the polo clubs don't get going till May or June.

"Behind the scenes" there are multiple activities as taming, stable-caring to show in Palermo's exhibit, snow polo at ski centers and others. How about polo lessons (x- 5 goaler) who loves to teach polo. LOVES to teach more than play, the swing, strategy, and also play chukkas in June, July or Aug in ECUADOR.?

I will get back in contact when I have clear dates for when I'll be down that way. I am planning on doing a horse trek through the valley of the volcanoes in Ecuador in June. Great. Don't miss the horse treks in Vilcabamba ( near Lojas) Ecuador. Find the New Zealander ( good horses and saddles) and I suggest 3 one day treks vs the three day trek.
