I have a single garage and thought I could fit a wooden horse into it. I would obviously need to consider rolling boards and netting. Does anyone know of a design for this considering the flip door? Or is it a new concept?
I guess the horse would need to be central, with netting attached to the base of the horse and going up to the ceiling to allow for rolling down and weighted down with some boards to act as the pitch? it also sounds bloody hazardous if I use it for practising my full swing!
Hey Sam, Im currently trying to build myself a wooden horse too. The best design i have ever seen that i am trying to emulate, had a sloped floor with gullies that allow the balls to roll back to each side of the horse to save having to have about 20 balls and rearrange them after every swing and enabled a continual hit to keep going. I was also given a great bit of advice that if i was short on space, instead of making enough room for a front and back swing, just turn the saddle on the horse to practise the backs. it allows you to use the larger space to hit with.

Hey excellent advice! I'm going to give the netting aspect a try too, but I'm a bit worried about it being hit too hard and rebounding into or over me!
I have a massive amount of netting to attach to somehting as well. I was hoping it would act as some sort of shock absorber to avoid the rebounding incidents! Here is hoping!
