Polo Contacts Worldwide

hi everyone - not strictly related to just polo - but as so many involved in polo are connected with Argentina - this seems a good place to ask...... A friend of mine is travelling there for the first time later this year and I have no advice for her as Ive never been! Any advice gratefully received... ie places to go and not to go - best bars / restaurants - friendly clubs who would not insist on being a member etc etc....... Thanks for your time! Mark

Hello Mark, Im Claudia from Argentina, now i live in Austin TX ., with my husband Salvatore
It would be a great idea if your friend has the chance to go to the south of the country as Bariloche, Patagonia, and the nearbys -
Remember now is comming the winter the high moment to enjoy the snow, big Polo Championships, the GLACIARES Perito Moreno, and all the enviroment is amazing, as the food as well
I m sure he will love it !!
If he just stays in BUE ( Buenos Aires ) tell him to visit Puerto Madero ( full of amazing places to eat and drink ), LA BOCA it is intresting that area to see as the inmigrants specially from Italy used to live as they arrived from Europe with colourfull houses and Tango places, other areas to go are Palermo Hollywood good to eat at the rest > " LA FONDA DEL POLO ", Recoleta were can find the Cementry where lays EVITA, and in front is the resto- bar LA BIELA, nice to have a meat sandwich sitting in an outside table like in Paris ...
Downtown in BUE I love to eat in a place call EL ESTABLO amazing meat & french potatoes w/ garlic and basil, or pizza at the rest FILO they are both near PARAGUAY st & San Martin (downtown) - THE MALBA museus, and so many other places... as you easy can see I LOVE MY COUNTRY ... hope this can help you a bit whatever you need just ask me pls - GOOD LUCK & ALL THE BEST
CLAUDIA SABATINI
