Thoroughbred sires

Does anyone have an opinion on which of the established Racing Thoroughbred sires produces suitable polo progeny?

I know the mare needs to be taken into account, and that not all ex racers are re-trained for polo. But there must be a stallion that people have a pony by that has made a nice little pony?

Maybe a Montjeu or Where or When? One of the current stallions must produce a nicer type than the other?

Hi ! we got her at the august sales ,and i took this photo then , she last raced in july and was a bit tired from training when we got her ,she had a week in the field doing nothing then we started lightly schooling her for polo , she's settled into it really well now though and we are planning to play her on the arena with our other young ones this winter ,then give her a holiday in the spring , iam off to newmarket sales next week to get a few more .... does any one else have this horse collecting disease ???? is there a cure ?!! xxxxx

Aurora, your horses look great, your stallion Kalankari, is exactly like my black stallion, I can´t see a small difference, mine one is having the bloodline of Sportivo (Dolfina Cuartetera´s father and one of Ellerstina´s stallion) but without Northern Dancer. He was a great racehorse, the best at two and three years old, after that he got injure and he never race again. Now is my stallion, Polo Argentine registered, I have some foals and they look great, but nothing playing yet. Take a look at my photos and you´ll see him. Hello Aurora, long time no speak.
I agree with you, I have a stallion by shy tom with an egg toss mother, no northern dancer blood at all, and he is doing very good.
The matter is that when trying a non playing stallion risk will be reduced if using proven thoroughbred bloodlines.

iam a fan of 'rainbow high' which stands at the louella stud , he's the half brother of rainbow corner which is a blood line iam following ....x
