The 1986-1987 Cartier Polo Retrospective curated by Jeanne Chisholm, Chisholm Gallery LLC, POLO SPECIALISTS

The 1986-1987 exhibit “POLO IN AMERICA, A Retrospective Exhibition of Polo in the United States,” Organized and Sponsored by Cartier, Inc., in Palm Beach, brought together an unprecedented collection of historically important polo art and memorabilia. This exhibit was considered to be of such international importance that it was re-created for one month as a "polo museum" on the second floor of Cartier's historic Fifth Avenue building in June 1987.

Jeanne Chisholm endeavored exhaustively to get the vast majority of the objects lent to these exhibits donated to the permanent collection of the proposed National Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame in Lake Worth, Florida. Yet while they are still housed by the museum, most of them are not currently on display. It is our hope that soon they will be on view once again after proper cataloguing and archiving.

In its continued effort to serve the polo community, the Chisholm Gallery has posted a link to the original website cataloguing this important event, and will maintain this archive in conjunction with the Chisholm Gallery website. ESPAÑA
Tres Rosas Polo Club (Jimena de la Frontera, Sotogrande)
El fin de semana pasado se jugó el II Campeonato de España de Polo Femenino, auspiciado por la Real Federación de Polo , donde participaron dos equipos con jugadoras nacionales y extranjeras.
El partido se jugó a 8 chukkers divididos en dos jornadas de 4 cada una. Los equipos se denominaron Bella Matata-Vilpingo Ridge y Villacampos , que en el primer día de juego y tras disputar los primeros 4 períodos, quedaron empatados en 6 goles. El domingo se completaron los 4 chukkers restantes, siendo su vencedor el primero de los nombrados por 12 a 10.
Como es lógico de pensar, debido a la importancia del certamen las copas fueron entregadas por el Presidente de la Real Federación, Sr. Nicolás Alvarez,
El sábado por la noche se celebró, durante la cena del torneo, una especial pasarela de Moda Bella Matata "a product from the african sun" y VILLACAMPOS "polo, arte y moda" , donde se mostraron sus nuevos modelos.
