Free Style Polo at the Peak—Shandur [3810m]
Shandur polo festival celebrated from July 7th to 9th, 2009, came to an end with a victory of the Chitral team by 2 to 10 goal scores. Both the teams of Gilgit and Chitral played a real professional polo to the cheers and appreciations of the spectators, who participated in a great number. This year the number of foreign participants was also encouraging. There were polo reporters, journalists, film crew and professional photographers from around the world.

Free style polo in Chitral, Northern Pakistan
Chitral and northern areas in Pakistan are known for free style polo worldwide. During the famous polo tournament at Shandur, the highest polo ground on earth, the polo titans of Chitral and Gilgit meet on July 7-9 every year. This is the greatest events of free style polo in the world, which attracts a great number of polo enthusiast from within the country as well as from outside.
