Dear Tommy,
we're all interested in the article about polo food. Can you publish it also here?

Hi Tommy,
Thanks for the comment on the big polo painting pic!
I would love to do one for your Polo Grill and Bar! Do you have any Fab shots I could work from? :))

I only just saw this and I assume you wrote the article because in Barbados, we have a nice combo of British and Barbadian, oh no. Who do you write for, Do you need any additional writers? That is my profession.

Hi Tommy,

Many people here eat seafood they pre-cook at home and bring on the field to eat with mayonnaise... we also like "crepes" and "galettes", very local kind of thin pancake. Of course we also have all sorts of sandwiches but Tailgate parties are often used to have fun and be creative picnic wise...

Hope that helps!

take care

Hey Tommy are you still writing the foodie article? Thought you might enjoy to know that we have a small restaurant at El Rey to keep the punters happy : snacks would be nuts, raw vegetables cut in strips with hot sauce dip, aioili or chilli powder and sugar maybe even a little pork rind. A typical meal could consist of ceviche (raw marinated seafood) guacamole (avocado dip with tomato, onion and coriander) , grilled arracherra ( marinated beef flank) or grilled fish with garlic or herbs and steamed veg or various salads, cakes and flans are usually available for the sweet tooth. Drinks would be limonada (mineral water, lime juice and sugar to taste) various beers, michelada and cheladas (beer mixed with hot spices or beer mixed with lime juice) tequila, whisky, brandy, cigars!

Tobby polo in Barbados can be very glamorous or raunchy. We serve from champagne to run and coke and Sushi to fish cakes People dress in diamonds and cubic zirconium. We have a real diverse crowd especially recently as Waterhall has been introducing the sport to middle class Barbados.

Dear Tommy, please appologize that I am answering that late.
I think, our club's food is not that special at all - for sure after the match beer is at number one, than mostly Pimm's - some drink it without Pimm's! We have our monthly asados as everywhere at polo clubs. Special maybe are our big and tasty potatoes with sour cream or fish, cold cucumber soup with garlic and yoghurt, wonderful buffalo mozarella with tomatoes and for our sweeties cooked milkrice with fresh fruits.
Whoever wants to taste - welcome!

Hello tommy,

Well here in my club we have restaurants that compete for catering .. sometimes we give mexican antojitos .. and some of the times we have Oriental food ...

Depends on the humor for the event ... and how class it would be .. and you know that oriental is the best for that finger food quality ..

haha .. if you want more coments .. you can ask me more about my club .. cheers

Sitting on the sidelines on a beautiful day while enjoying a polo game, one of sport’s most spectacular sights should be enough on its own, but it seems we all like a nosh with our thundering hooves.
